Dear Parents/Carers,

You may have already been made aware that the Infant field has been assessed as unsuitable for us to hold our annual Sports’ Day next week.

Mrs Roberts has informed us that, despite the best efforts of their new grounds maintenance team, the field is not safe for children to run on at the present time.

After considering several alternatives, we have decided to postpone our Sports’ Day until Tuesday, 24th September.

However, our Year 6 pupils will take part in an adapted version of Sports’ Day on Tuesday, 2nd July on our MUGA. Unfortunately, we will not be able to invite parents onto the school grounds to watch, due to the size of the area, so teachers will post lots of photographs on SeeSaw.

We are really disappointed that we can’t go ahead with our original plans, especially as we published the date for Sports’ Day back in September 2023!

Events over the last few years have taught us the importance of resilience and we will endeavour to make next Tuesday as much fun as possible for Y6 and hopefully the weather will be kind to us in September.

Thank you for your continued support,

P A Swift
