At Forefield Junior School, the school day follows a set pattern (see below), but class timetables will differ and some lessons/activities will change to reflect current learning – e.g. Victorian Day, Arts Week etc.
Doors open at 8:45am to allow pupils to be in class and registered by 8:55am.

Across the week, pupils will be in school for longer than the statutory 32.5 hours.
Attendance at Forefield Junior School
At Forefield Junior School, we believe that every day in school counts. Regular attendance gives children the best opportunity to learn, make progress, build friendships and take part in the many exciting opportunities our school has to offer. We understand that children may sometimes be unable to attend due to illness or other unavoidable circumstances, and we are committed to working in partnership with families to support good attendance wherever possible.
We encourage our children to take pride in their attendance, and our School Council regularly discusses attendance at meetings, helping to promote its importance across our school community.
Each week, an Attendance Trophy is awarded to celebrate class attendance, and children are recognised with certificates for achieving 97% or above and 100% attendance.
We are proud of our commitment to attendance and continually strive to improve. By working together, we can help every child make the most of their time at Forefield, enjoy school life and achieve their full potential.
