Thank you to everyone for responding to our initial letter and paying a deposit. We would be grateful if you could ensure that full payments are made in advance of the trip – you can make several smaller payments between now and then!
What to take
Here is the suggested clothing list for the trip – remember all specialist equipment is provided by the centre.
- 3 T-shirts (not vests)
- 3 sweatshirts/jumpers/hoodies/fleeces (long sleeved) tops
- 3 pairs of trousers
- 2 pairs of shorts
- 6 sets of underwear (5 in addition to those worn on the first day!)
- 6 pairs of socks
- 1 pair of trainers
- 1 pair of outdoor shoes/boots*
- 2 towels
- 1 waterproof/warm coat
- 1 warm hat
- 1 pair of gloves
- 1 set of nightwear/pyjamas
- 1 bag of toiletries (please do not bring aerosol sprays as the fire alarm is very sensitive)
- 1 black bin liner
Please note:
- If you put your child’s name (and FJS) inside all items of clothing, staff at the centre will try to return any ‘lost’ items.
- There is a drying room and laundry facility. Wet/dirty clothes will be washed at 30 degrees and dried in a tumble drier. Please don’t bring any new/expensive items or clothes that can’t be tumble dried.
- Old clothes are best, as due to the nature of the activities, children may get wet/muddy. Jeans are not ideal – tracksuits/jogging bottoms are much more suitable.
- *A strong pair of shoes/trainers for outside are sufficient – you don’t need to buy walking boots especially for the trip (but they are very welcome!) The centre will provide wellies where appropriate.
- Please don’t bring phones, cameras, iPads, expensive watches etc – they don’t mix with mud!
- Robinwood provide all necessary bedding.
Thanks again for your support. We will be asking you to complete a medical/contact details form shortly.
