Year 4 Ancient Greek Day 23
Portals to the Past led an exciting history workshop that took Year 4 back in time to the days of the Ancient Greeks.
Following an introduction to life in Ancient Greece, the classes took turns to:
- play Petteia - a Greek strategy game;
- solve Archimedes' Stomachion - the oldest known mathematical puzzle;
- discover facts to complete a Greek quiz.
In the afternoon, the children saw a demonstration of Ancient Greek weapons and armour before competing in a mini Olympic Games.
